Prepare my resume for freeHow to compare online resume builders
A website may let you start for free and charge for rewriting or downloading. Check the entire workflow you plan to use:
- Job context
- Does the tool help connect your experience to the job requirements, or provide a template to fill in?
- Free deliverables
- Does the free plan include revised text and the final file? Are important features billed per job, through a subscription or with credits?
- Control over the text
- Can you review and edit suggestions before using the resume? Roles, dates, skills and results must reflect your experience.
- Files and languages
- Check whether your required formats and languages are included and whether downloads are limited.

5 options for preparing your resume online
1. Curriculy: our choice for preparing an application for free
Upload a PDF, Word file or resume text and share the role and, when available, the job description. Curriculy suggests a revised version, highlights strengths and possible gaps, and lets you edit before downloading. The same context supports a cover letter and interview preparation.
We recommend it for people who already have professional information and want to turn it into a clearer application. Review the suggestions: AI can make mistakes, and a skill requested in a job description does not become your experience just by appearing in the text.
2. AjustaCV: tailoring billed per job
Advertises free analysis and paid tailored resumes in PDF and Word. It may suit people who prefer paying for a specific order. When comparing it with Curriculy, separate the free diagnosis from rewriting and files included in the paid service.

Combines resume building and application tracking. It may help people organize their job search. There are useful free features, but consider basic analysis and limited AI credits when assessing the work required for each job.
Official source and conditions: Teal4. Rezi: assisted writing with free-plan limits
Offers AI writing and editing tools. It may suit people trying a resume builder before choosing a plan. For repeated use, check whether one resume and three PDFs meet your needs.

An alternative for building a resume with free templates and downloads. Its documentation also describes limited free AI use and access to basic ATS scores. Premium increases usage and unlocks the detailed report. Check the official sources below for conditions.
Official source and conditions: KickresumeWhat a complete result means in Curriculy
Alongside an assessment, you receive materials to review and use in your application. The free workflow includes:
- A revised resume and direct on-screen editing.
- Analysis of strengths and possible gaps against the opportunity.
- A cover letter and interview preparation based on the context you share.
- Three resume templates; PDF or Word files; Portuguese or English options.
- Private account history to reopen saved results.
A complete result means access to the workflow's materials. It does not mean every requirement is met, that analysis is infallible or that an interview will follow.

Which resume website guarantees passing ATS?
No website can guarantee approval by every recruiting system. Applicant tracking systems help receive and organize applications; parsing and criteria vary. Clear sections and accurate information connected to the job make a resume easier for people and systems to review.
A fit score estimates what your resume demonstrates for that opportunity. It is not an official score from Gupy or another ATS, or a hiring probability. Check the fields imported by the application website.

Is Curriculy free to download my resume?
Yes. Analysis, revised text and PDF or Word downloads are free. You need a free account to access the full result, edit, save and download. No payment card is required.
Can I tailor my resume to a job for free?
Yes. Share your resume and the job description with Curriculy to receive a suggested revision for free. With only a role title, guidance is more general. Review suggestions before using them.
How does ATS analysis differ from a revised resume?
Analysis identifies aspects of the document or its relationship to a job. Revision proposes new wording. Check whether a free plan includes both steps and the download, since conditions may differ.
Should I download my resume as PDF or Word?
Follow the employer's requested format. PDF helps preserve presentation; Word allows further editing. In either format, check the content and the fields filled by the application system.
Can I prepare a resume in English?
Curriculy offers Portuguese and English options, including PDF or Word files. Review vocabulary, job titles and facts before applying.
Do I need to pay for a good resume?
Free tools can help you prepare a clear resume. Focus on real experience, its connection to the job and reviewing the result. Paying for a tool does not guarantee interviews or hiring.
